Meet Carper (FIV+)
Meet Carper! This sweet boy was living on the streets of Carpentersville. When he came to us he had extremely raw and painful front paws. We believe it is pododermatitis. He is about 99.9% healed up now, due to occasional doses of azithromycin and topical antibacterial paw spray.
If you adopt Carper please be aware that he will need a trip to the vet for an actual diagnosis as ours is just a theory. But he has been otherwise healthy despite his FIV+ status since his stay in our shelter- and with weekly paw check ups done by volunteers who give his medicine and apply his paw spray.
He is a very sweet boy and would make a great addition to any home! He is not aggressive with other cats so we don’t believe he would be a threat to spread FIV to other cats. But we do generally recommend FIV+ cats go to a home with other FIV+ cats/no other cats at all.
His adoption fee is $125.00. Adoption includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, flea preventatives, Felv/FIV/Heartworm testing (negative) and microchip. Please complete an adoption application (www.cdlcanimals.org) if interested in meeting this gorgeous kitty. We will respond to all submitted applications and email inquires within 24-48 hours.
Thank you for considering this extra special soul! Meet and greets are held at our adoption center, 1325 S Main Street, Algonquin, IL, after applications are submitted. Thank you!
PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING AN INQUIRY OR APPLYING TO ADOPT:
We do not ship any of our animals. An adoption donation fee is not negotiable. Some donation fees are higher based on the uniqueness of a breed, an animal’s rare characteristics, or previous medical expenses. We provide endless amounts of care and veterinary assistance to well over 125 animals on any given day. Should you have difficulties understanding our full mission, please refrain from making inquiries or applying to adopt. These adoption fees enable us to carry out our FULL CIRCLE RESCUE MISSION - to those who are most beautiful and precious to those who are less desirable, have long-term medical conditions, who struggle with temperament issues, and may live their lives out under our care never finding homes. Funding allows us to continue our mission of rescuing future animals. Thank you for your support!
