Meet CARINA

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE YOU RESPOND.

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.

CARINA and her 5 siblings (CASSIOPEIA - DORADO - DRACO - ANDROMEDA - VELA) were saved from the shelter in Riverside County. These guys were tiny, sick and malnourished. Don't know exactly where they came from...all we know is that had hours to live. We were asked to help and they went with one of our fosters.

CARINA is now ready for his "FUREVER" home. Female orange tabbies are not common. 80% of orange cats are male. For a female cat to be orange, she must inherit two orange genes — one from her mother (orange, calico, or tortoiseshell) and one from her father (who must be orange). A male cat needs only one orange gene, which he gets from his mother (orange, calico, or tortoiseshell).

CARINA is an orange and white tabby who is shy. When she first arrived at her foster home, she would run, hide and hiss at humans. But over the weeks that she has been there, she has opened up a lot. She no longer hisses at her foster human and accepts being petted while eating or relaxing. She still avoids being picked up but does not panic when someone does pick her up. She likes to play with her siblings as well as in small boxes and is very attached to her big sister VELA. She is a very special kitty who has one green eye and one blue eye.

CARINA enjoys playing with a crinkle ball as well as with her siblings. She likes to snuggle with her little sister VELA and will often groom her when they are relaxing together. She's a typical kitten. She gets along really well with her siblings. She will need a YOUNG cat to play with in his new home. Her foster dad named them after the different constellations.

CARINA is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TURKISH VAN-TABBY MIX. She is about 5 months old. She is good with cats and non-reactive to with dogs. She has never been around children. She has one blue eye and one green eye.

CARINA is currently at a foster home in Hemet, California

NOVEMBER 2022:. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.

Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is at 11 am. We are working on getting evening volunteers too! Email us and ask us. We will let you know what days evening volunteers are there.

The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

PETSMART
in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue

in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue

in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, ect....once the adoption has been finalized. So gas donations always appreciated!

********** PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS **********

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.

Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.

We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out be patient.

CARINA is ALREADY fully vetted.
The adoption fee of $200 covers:

Spay
FVRCP shots
RABIES shot
FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control
Microchip

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.

If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!

If you have any questions not covered here, please feel free to email us:
