Cajun and Catfish Domestic Short Hair Melrose, MA

Cajun and his sister Catfish are a three-year-old pair who once belonged to an elderly person who needed to go into a nursing home, where she could not keep them. Catfish is definitely the more outgoing of the pair-- she LOVES being pet-- but, with a little patience, Cajun has warmed up once his trust was earned. They definitely get along with each other, but not with other cats. Because they are a bonded pair, we would not dream of separating them, so they must be adopted together.

They have been:
- spayed/neutered
- vaccinated
- tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
- examined and determined to be healthy by a vet

Their adopters will receive their medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. They are being fostered in Billerica.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. Due to COVID 19, in lieu of in-person meetings and for the safety of all concerned, fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via Facetime, Skype, or other video app, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has actually streamlined the adoption process and has been going very well.
