Buttercup was surrendered with her kitten to an open admission shelter.

ABOUT:
Buttercup is about as easy going as they come. She would be a great addition to a multi-pet home, but does not need to be adopted into a home with other pets. She is currently living with three dogs (60-100+lbs) and has no concerns. She doesn’t even seem to take notice when they walk by. If they’re being especially noisy or rowdy she will casually get up and find a quieter spot. She is also good with cats as she is being fostered in a home with multiple cats and has never had a disagreement with anyone. She can often be found in the coveted spots (sun beams, heat vents) curled up with another resident kitty. Buttercup is also great with people. She loves attention but is not needy or demanding. Unless she is feeling especially affectionate Buttercup doesn’t love belly rubs, but instead of lashing out and scratching or biting she removes herself from the situation. She loves to be brushed.

When Buttercup hears her foster mom wake up in the morning she comes running for some cheek rubs and back scratches. You can call Buttercup a lot of things, but never call her late for breakfast. She is always the first one at the bowl. She isn’t much for playing, but Buttercup does love to indulge in catnip from time to time. Buttercup is an excellent companion cat and would do fine in a home with a single person, but is also easy going and laid back enough to also fit well in a family with older children. Buttercup is the quintessential lap cat!
