Meet Burrito – Your Feline Bodyguard in a Bowtie
At around 5 years old, Burrito is the perfect mix of refinement and loyalty. With his buff-and-white coat and dignified demeanor, he carries himself like a true gentleman—but don’t be fooled, he’s also got serious guard dog energy! Friendly and affectionate, Burrito is deeply devoted to his humans and takes his self-appointed role as protector very seriously. He’ll patrol the home with purpose, always keeping an eye out while staying close to those he loves. When it’s time to unwind, he enjoys classy cuddle sessions and going to town on his favorite toy—the beloved catnip banana kicker. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and impeccable manners, Burrito is ready to stand by your side.
Currently in foster care in Garden Grove. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation.
All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.
We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.
We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.
When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
