Meet Buddy
Here’s the sad story about Buddy. One of our rescue volunteers was at the shelter waiting in line for some services. There was a woman in front of her holding a cat. When it was her turn to talk to the shelter employee, our volunteer overheard their conversation. Apparently Buddy belonged to this woman’s father who had recently passed away. Buddy had spent the last four months of his owners life cuddling on his lap or sleeping next to him. Now that her father had passed away, she didn’t want the cat and wanted the shelter to take him. They said sure, we can but there is an owner relinquish fee. The woman said she would not pay it and she would just let Buddy loose in the open field next-door to the shelter. Our volunteer interrupted and said I’ll take the cat.
He is very sweet, quiet. Buddy is a picky eater, likes Nutro dry and some Friskies/Fancy Feast chunks or shreds wet cat food. Not bothered by other cats or my small dog. Excellent pottybox manners, not a sand kicker. Craves scratches, pets and is very affectionate. Loves to be brushed.
