Bubba (bonded with Bali)'s Story

**Bubba must have a friendly and playful cat to keep him company. His foster mate Bali is a perfect fit!

Bubba is an active and curious cat, looking for a forever home where he can play to his heart’s content. He’s ready to chase after anything he can get his paws on – wand toys, plushies, crumpled paper, you name it. This smart cat has figured out how to open drawers where the toys are kept, so beware of where goodies are stashed! Bubba is a big fan of high places, and loves gazing out the window and leaping off the highest platform of his cat tree. Give him a few places to perch and he’ll be happy as a clam!

He's also a friendly guy who loves spending time around familiar humans. He enjoys gentle pets and getting scratched behind his ears, and will happily lean in for more. If you approach him slowly and let him sniff you before petting him, he’ll soon be your #1 fan.

This handsome cat has a beautiful, shiny black coat that he takes excellent care of, and will sit patiently to be brushed all over. He is still a little wary of having his feet touched, and his foster has been working on getting him used to this for nail trims.

Bubba came to AVA after he was abandoned outside and rescued by volunteers. We suspect that he was a former breeding cat, who received minimal care and socialization in his early life. So far, he’s adapted wonderfully to life as a pet, and is rapidly gaining confidence, although he can sometimes be startled by sudden movements and loud noises.

Bubba is looking for an adopter who will give him lots of enrichment and play to get his energy out, and take a gentle approach to socializing as he gains confidence.

He and his fellow foster mate Bali who was rescued with him, would be perfect companions for a loving family.

Would you like to make Bubba and Bali a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
