Additional Information:
I know what you might be thinking. Bruno thats a tough cats name, right? Dont let my name fool you though. Brunos my name AND snuggling is my game.
I was born to be a lap cat I understand the therapeutic value of a snuggle and a cuddle and a snooze. I do sometimes play with toys but generally Im all about the calm vibe.
I am seeking home where we can chill out together and you might help calm my nerves from time to time when an unknown noise catches me off guard. That would be great thanks in advance! I will admit that I am a bit of a self-proclaimed foodie. Theres just some foods that hit my palate just right. Take Merrick Purrfect Bistro grain free dry food that is my jam. Oh, for my fancier moments Fancy Feast beef pate. But whats a real treat? Cooked chicken breast! Yes, please! Anyway, lets do dinner sometime? Or, adopt me and lets do dinner and snuggles every day!
Love,
Bruno

If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html
City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care.
Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
