Meet Brandy
Brandy is an affectionate girl who adores a gentle touch. Although pets with chill temperaments would be fine companions for her, she truly thrives on the attention of people and would do best in a relatively serene environment where she is not home alone all day.
One day a woman who had adopted from us years ago frantically knocked at the shelter door at 7:30 am. She was heading to work that morning when she saw a cat laying in the median strip propped up against the guardrail. She stopped and scooped the bleeding cat up in her coat and rushed the short distance to our shelter. We immediately rushed the cat to our emergency vet. Although initially we thought Brandy, as we called her, had been hit by a car, it was quickly determined that her shattered leg was the result of a gunshot wound. We were given the choice to remove her leg or do surgery to place a metal rod in her back leg. Given that Brandy was a young and otherwise healthy cat, and the vet was confident she would do well with the rod, we didn't hesitate. This courageous kitty has healed from her surgery beautifully and is ready for the purrfect forever home!
DOB 2016
Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
