(By the pet supplies area) If you would like to adopt him, please do apply. Once approved to adopt him, a WPR volunteer will set up with you to meet at Norby's so you can adopt and take him home! Norby's Farm Fleet, 1901 4th St SW, Waverly. Hours: Mon - Fri: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Sat: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Sun: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.**

Bowie, his mama, and siblings were strays in Hudson, Iowa. A kind couple took them in to save them from the streets. We took took the whole family in to help them. They are living in a foster home. Bowie is now up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and neutered.

Bowie - 6 months old, male

Bowie is the fearless leader among his litter mates. He has seemingly endless energy and enjoys interactive playtime with other cats or people. Once he wears himself out exploring and playing , he can also be quite cuddly and sweet. Bowie has all the classic curiosity and adventurous nature most kittens do times 10. Never a dull moment with this guy around! He would do best in a home with another cat or kitten with equal energy levels, he and his sibling Fiona are not required to be adopted together, but would make a great pair! He is young enough he should be ok around other cats and older children. He has not been around dogs.

Bowie must be adopted into a home with another young cat for him to bond with and play with. Or he can be adopted with one or both of his siblings and/or mother. He cannot be an only cat. He must have a cat friend.

Bowie's adoption fee is $95.00.


WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
