Meet Bowie
Bowie is a one year old blond tabby who appears to have spent much of his young life as a stray.
Sadly, the life of an outdoor cat is full of danger and Bowie had some kind of accident in early February. His back leg was injured so badly that it needed to be amputated. Bowie moved into a foster home for recovery and evaluation, and he has turned out to be a little rockstar!
Bowie learned quickly to maneuver on three legs. At first, he couldn’t grasp the concept of toys, but now he loves them. He loves mushy wet snacks and cuddling for daily petting sessions, purring like a maniac. And for a previously “outdoor” cat, his litter box skills are perfection.
Although Bowie still deals with some bouts of fear and mistrust, he continues to make almost daily progress transitioning to indoor living. His foster mom believes His foster mom believes that once he has a chance to be around humans full time, he will become much more comfortable and confident. Bowie’s ideal home should be super quiet with a person or two who can spend time listening to his crazy loud purring while he soaks up all the pets….and who are patient while he continues to learn to be an inside cat.
