Bouquet Domestic Short Hair Gainesville, FL

Bouquet (also known as Bucket) was the kitten abandoned in the bucket last week. She is an adorable, gray and white 4-5 week old female kitten. She just crossed the 1 lb mark weighing 1.1 lbs today. Bouquet arrived with a severely infected and broken left rear leg. As of her recheck at the vet office today we are hopeful that it will not have to be amputated. She is using it now and the swelling and infection have improved by about 80%. She won’t be ready for adoption for about another month but she is extremely sweet and loving and we are taking pre-adoption applications now. She is being fostered with Ameris but they do not have to be adopted together. At this time we feel like she needs to be adopted to a home without dogs. Based on her extremely fearful/terrified response to the cat friendly dog in her foster home, we feel like she was likely attacked and injured by a dog and has a severe but understandable fear of them. Ameris (her foster companion) is fine with dogs.
