Meet Borg

HISTORY: BORG was found a stray in Valencia County and transferred to Felines & Friends when he tested FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats he has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households”. According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species. If you would like to consider BORG for adoption but need more information on FIV, please feel free to e-mail felinesandfriendsnm@yahoo.com so we can provide you with links to educational websites. TEMPERAMENT: BORG outgoing and social. He loves attention and is learning to play with toys. His ideal home will be with someone who will brush his beautiful coat regularly and give him the loving attention he wants. BORG is a handsome Seal Point Himi with striking blue eyes. AGE: born approx. 1/25/17 MICROCHIP #: pending DATE OF STERILIZATION: 1/25/19 VAX RECORD: Rabies: expires 1/25/20; FVRCP: expires 1/25/20 FELV/FIV test: 1/31/19; FELV neg/FIV pos ADOPTION FEE: $100 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out our Adoption Application completely.
