Meet Boo (w/ PeeWee)
FOSTERED IN GREAT FALLS, VA. Boo and PeeWee are a very bonded pair of neutered male Himalayans. PeeWee's coat has a hint of silver coloring to it, and he is approx 8 years young, while Boo is a full seal-point color, and he has been around for an estimated mere 4 years. Both of them were given up from the same household when the owner no longer could care for them. It is unclear whether they were used for breeding or not; both of them certainly bask in the foot room of a bedroom suite in their foster home in Great Falls, VA. These two are definitely related, the resemblance in physique (both have faces between doll-shape and peke-shaped, both have a tail that curves forward toward their head in a cute little bow, both of them are over-the-top friendly and incredible love birds, and both of them are happy to share the lap of any person willing to sit down for a moment and to pet them! They nuzzle each other in the cutest way, and the older draws courage and comfort from the younger, who is slightly bolder. After an initial period of getting used to their new environs and people, they will be 120% lap cats. They make an incredible duo! == Upon coming to our rescue, this cat had to get shaved due to severe matting. We had the kitty vetted (distemper vaccines, rabies vaccine, exam, FIV/FeLV test to confirm nonexistence of feline aids and feline leukemia infection), spayed/neutered, and given an ID microchip to assist in finding home should this kitty ever accidentally get out the house. == Please note that Himalayan and Persian cats are as pretty as they are labor-intensive. These cats require daily grooming, including combing of the entire body and gentle wiping of the eyes. Many of these cats were discarded by previous owners due to the amount of care they need... so please, please consider carefully whether you will make this daily routine part of your life for the rest of this cat's life... or whether a domestic shorthair or mediumhair kitty might be a better match for you and your family. Persians and Himalayans are a great companion for those who love to touch and pet and scratch ears and manually share affection... but not for people easily distracted when the newness of the pet wears off. == If you are serious about meeting and adopting them and about caring for them with unwavering devotion for the next 10-15 years, please find and complete an Adoption Application here: http://www.va-persianrescue.org/adoption
