BO is a domestic long hair, white and cream colored 8 year old male. He lived his entire life with his loving mum, and was surrendered to our rescue group when she passed. Bo seems to bond strongly with his human. He warmed up to his foster mom almost immediately, and he is a constant companion in each room she is in. Bo follows his foster human throughout the house and prefers sitting or laying near the room she is in. He did take half a day to get used to his new surroundings -- the first two nights in his new foster home, Bo yowled for most of the night. This subsided and he is now quiet throughout the night. Bo is content to lounge around but will play spiritedly with his favorite catnip mouse. In the evenings, he likes to look out the windows and seems to enjoy the cool evening breeze. Once Bo figures out that there is a way out, he is a door dasher and will follow his foster mom to the outside doors with the hopes of escaping, if only to satisfy his curiosity. He has jumped outside sneakily while she has tried to close the door, but he also seems to respond to a firm "no". Bo seems to throw up a weekly hairball and he might benefit from specialized cat food (Royal Canin hairball control might help). Bo is a loyal companion and his foster mom reports that he has been a lovely presence in her house. He often greets her with a meow and a nuzzle. If you are looking for an older fellow who seems inclined to bond strongly, who enjoys hanging out in the kitchen while you cook or just being near you as you go about your day, Bo could be your sweetheart!
Bo has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Bo in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
