Binx was a stray cat in Waverly that did not get claimed and does not have a microchip. He is a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty now. Binx is now up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and neutered.

Binx is about 2 years old as of January 2023. He is mostly black with a white patch on his chest and some white on his tummy. Super sweet and loves attention. He has a great purr and is a head bopper. He’s playful and a curious kitty. He doesn’t mind being picked up and cuddled. When I picked him up he just went limp-no resistance at all. He seemed to be laid back when it came to people, but a little more cautious when it comes to environment.
He is still settling in and life on the streets must have been hard. He was startled by a noise and one time he did a quick hiss and then went back to full love me more. A second time it was a quick little growl. I don’t know his background completely since he was a stray , but if he was in an environment where he had to be on his toes for danger it seemed like a defense mechanism. Once in a loving and safe home, I think he’ll quickly relax. Might be best in a home with older children since loud little ones might scare him.

Binx has a brother names Jinx also back in rescue if anyone is interested in adopting both of them. It is not required. They both would do ok each in their own home.

Binx's adoption fee is $95.00.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
