Meet Billy

Age: 4 years

Hi, I'm Billy Bob! I used to be rough and tough, ready for a rumble when I lived my life on the streets. Until I met a woman who decided that she would feed me. I learned that she was actually pretty neat and the inside of her house looked very warm and welcoming. To be honest, I was getting pretty tired of trying to hold my reputation as a tough guy out on the streets. So one day I decided to walk into her house and see how those cats on the other side of the window lived.

Let me tell you, the inside life is the way to go! I had no idea what I had been missing these past four years, but I am never going back to the outside life. It is just so warm and safe in here, but my foster mom tells me that this is only a temporary safe place and that I need to find my very own home. Wow, never would have thought that I would have been given the chance to find someone kind enough to bring me inside, let alone the chance to find a home I can really call mine! I have discovered that I absolutely love chasing things called wand toys, and I really enjoy the companionship of other indoor cats, especially ones that like to play. It is amazing to me, that I am able to play for fun and not have to fight for my food, it just shows up for me when I ask for it! I also very much enjoy this big soft thing, I think it's called a couch? Anyways, I really like to curl up on it with my foster mom while she gives me all the head scratches I could want.

So here's the full scoop, while I was outside protecting my territory and surviving; the guy in the white coat told my foster mom that I had gotten this thing called FIV. I am otherwise healthy, however, I will need to be fed good food and taken in to visit him for check ups often especially if I get the sniffles. Since I am such a chill and mellow guy now, the risks of me making others sick is low but I always have to be on my best behaviour. I know they worry that no one will be able to love me, scars and all, so I wanted to tell you my story of how I went from the streets to the suites.
