Meet Bill

We have all heard the phrase, “There is someone out there for everyone.” Well, Bill is hoping that that is true in his case. Bill is a four-year-old, black and white young man who is looking for someone with patience and who knows that the best things in life don’t come easy. Bill is working hard on gaining his confidence and learning to trust people. He has been working with his foster dad for the past couple of months on confidence and trust and he has made good progress. His dad beams with pride when he talks about the “great moments” that Bill has been having where he happily purrs as he curls up next to him and enjoys being petted. He is still very, very shy and is trying to become more consistent with his desire to be petted and loved. We know it is in there and that Bill wants to be able to love and be loved freely! Recently Bill has discovered the fun of the Cat Dancer toy and is steadily increasing his play time. He can’t deny his love for food and treats and will jump up on the bed with foster dad when treats enter the picture. It just may take him a few minutes to survey the scene and remind himself that foster dad is a good guy who can be trusted. Bill enjoys his cat tree and its funny dangling toys too – they are hard to resist by even the shyest guy! Sometimes Bill tries to appear brave when he gets spooked by something scary (like a petting wand for instance), and he might try to swat at it to show it he’s tough…but that’s all an act. Bill is a gentle guy who is just currently scared of things he isn’t familiar with. Like all of us, Bill knows there is someone out there is right for him…someone who is patient, calm and open to helping him build up that confidence. The reward for this work will be the unconditional love that we all know exists when we give an animal a chance. Are you the one that is ready to show Bill that a great life awaits him?

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the link below:
http://thecatconnection.org/adopt/adoption-application/
You will get a quicker response doing this rather than emailing us.

Also please consider fostering as an alternative to adoption: http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/

We request $100 for each cat 10 and over, $150 for each cat 5-10 years old, $200 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $225 for each kitten under a year old. These fees fund neutering, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. To find out more about us, please visit our web site: http://thecatconnection.org/
