Meet Big Tom

Pssssst! Excuse me. You over there, reading this. Yes, you! BIG TOM here. Can you lend a hand? Big Tom has a belly itch and you look like the purrrfect person to fix that! A few other simple requests: spacious window sill, ping pong balls, and late night snuggles. Is that too much to ask? P.S. Between you and Big Tom, he's really looking for a forever human to love everyday. He calls that a win-win! 2-year-old Big Tom is your perfect side kick. He will follow you everywhere you go and lets out a sweet meow for attention or when he is hungry. Big Tom will let you hold him like a baby while enjoying his tummy rubs and ear/chin scratches. He will sleep with you (or on you) at night and will sit on anyone's and everyone's lap. Big Tom was wandering outside our cat rescue group's facility, with a leg wound and turned out to be the biggest cuddler! Due to his previous leg injury, he needs a low litter box as he struggles to step over tall objects. Big Tom's walk is quirky but adorable as you can always hear where he is. His right rear leg cannot hold weight so drags on the ground. He doesn't let this injury get in the way of living a fun happy cat life. Big Tom is so deserving of finding his perfect forever home. It is hard to find a cat as loving and sweet as Big Tom and he deserves someone to appreciate all the love he gives.

Big Tom has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), but he is a healthy boy and will likely have a normal lifespan as an indoor-only cat. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Big Tom is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, is negative for FeLV, and has had a complete dental (he is in excellent health). To meet Big Tom in person, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt. A volunteer will contact you within 2-3 days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to help other cats in need. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2004-C0173
