Meet Big Lamar

Three-year-old Lamar is a giant of a boy with an even bigger personality. Despite the heartbreak of being abandoned and betrayed not just once but twice by people he thought were his family, most recently because of moving, Lamar has not lost any of his friendliness. Pet this boy and he will show himself to be a purring machine. He seems to like everyone and has a history of being great with kids. He also gets along with other cats. We have not observed him with dogs. Lamar is an easy cat, suitable for a first-time adopter. Because he is very social, he should be adopted into a home where he will not be alone for long periods of time.

He has been:
- neutered
- vaccinated against rabies and distemper
- tested negative for FeLV and FIV
- treated for worms and fleas

His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. He's being fostered in Allston. Lamar needs to be kept on a urinary-tract diet due to a history of UTIs.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to him and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for him as we try to match people with the right cats.

Due to COVID 19, in lieu of in-person meetings and for the safety of all concerned, fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video app, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has streamlined the adoption process and has been going very well.
