Big Kahuna's Story

Big Kahuna is as perfect as they come! Clocking in at close to 17lbs, there’s a lot of this guy to love! He was trapped by the TCC and discovered to have an unregistered chip from down south - to come all this way just to be abandoned ? He doesn’t let that get him down though, his favorite activities are making biscuits and belly rubs! He is nervous at first but gets very excited when he’s encouraged to come get some attention! He’s been non reactive to other cats at the facility but we have not tested him one on one. Big Kahuna is neutered, UTD on vaccines, FIV/FeLv negative, & microchipped! House of the Cat's Adoption Policy

Our process is a multi-step process that begins with filling out an application for us to review. We will screen each application thoroughly by confirming housing/pet policies, doing veterinary reference checks, and calling personal references. If everything comes back clear we will contact the applicant to schedule a phone interview during which we will discuss a time to meet the animal if we feel the applicant is a good fit. Once the applicant is approved they can meet the cat and take them home after signing their adoption contract and paying their adoption fee.

Our Mission

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find adoptive homes for the homeless cats in Philadelphia. We also pull cats from shelters that are at risk of euthanasia or release back to the streets. We foster rescued cats and provide veterinary care until an adoptive home is found.
