Betty & BabyPuss Domestic Short Hair Warwick, RI

Betty and BabyPuss are sweet, female 8-month-old siblings. They were born to a feral mom. She was spayed through our Trap-Neuter-Return program. Betty and BabyPuss took a few months to fully warm up to people in their foster home and may require a little extra patience as they acclimate to your home, but they are worth it! We suggest having them stay in a small room until they have gained enough catfidence skills to venture out. But that will not take long! Betty and BabyPuss tolerated the resident cat and dog in their foster home. So they should do well with other respectful cats and dogs. They would do best in a home with older children.

Betty is a lovely buff tabby with a curious nature, and she LOVES playing. BabyPuss has unique grey tortoiseshell markings, the more reserved, shy sister. She enjoys carrying toys in her mouth to protect them against potential toy thefts....(talking about you, Betty!) A few wand toys and bouncy balls will get these two hopping around the room in no time!

All adoption fees are inclusive of spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies, and distemper vaccinations, proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing, flea treatment, deworming, and an exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Our shelter hours are by appointment only and are not open to the public. Many of our cats and kittens are located in foster homes. An adoption application MUST be submitted and approved before meeting our cats/kittens. We do this for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.

Our adoption process includes the following:

1. Adoption Application
To be considered for this cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST complete an adoption application:
- Through our website (preferred) at www.scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/
- Email a copy to scruffypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com
- Drop off a hard copy to either of our partner PetSmart locations (Johnston or North Smithfield)
- Mail a hard copy to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886

2. Veterinary Reference
Please call your vet ahead of time to give permission to release records to our adoption team. Out-of-state adoptions typically require an exceptional veterinary reference and are at the discretion of our adoption team.

3. Proof of Home Ownership OR Landlord Approval
If renting, the landlord's contact information must be provided so our adoption team can seek approval.

4. Home Visit
Please make sure you are located in our vicinity. We are based out of Warwick, RI. Due to COVID-19, we are currently doing virtual home visits until further notice.
