Hi there! It's me, Betty, the softest and most beautiful cat in all the land! Could those be disputable facts? That I have the softest fur and that I am the most beautiful? Well, let's take a look at each of my assertions one by one and you can decide.

I have it on good authority from several of the volunteers here at Desert Haven that my fur simply begs to have their faces nuzzled into it. This is a regular occurrence by one of them. She comes to visit me, I saunter over, looking all pettable. She starts to stroke by body and I flop over in utter joy. I look into her eyes, she melts. Then she puts her face by my face and gives me soft kisses. I melt. She gives me soft kisses all over. So. If people want to nuzzle their faces into me and give me soft kisses all over, how could I not have the softest fur? You be the judge.

As for my statement that I am the most beautiful cat -- everyone says 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. I think that is 'human speak' for preferences. Some may prefer the looks of a Ginger Tabby, others may enjoy the stylings of a Calico Cutie. But when a stunning Tuxedo walks into the room, heads turn! Am I right!? I'll concede that there are other gorgeous cats here at Desert Haven that rival my pretty looks; I think that's fair. But when you come to visit and you see me, and I take your breath away, then that's just might be more fuel to the fire for me being the Beauty Queen of Desert Haven.

Physical appearances aside, what I hope and dream for is My Person. My Person will want me around a lot. My Person will love me unconditionally. My Person will adore every moment I'm nestled in his or her lap, sweetly snoozing as we lounge together. My Person will look into my eyes and tell me that I am the best thing that ever happened in their life. And in return, I will love My Person unconditionally. I will adore every moment we're together loving each other. I will be So Good and So Loving that we will sit in the window at the end of the day watching the sunset together and glance over at each other and we will both let out a sigh of relief that we found each other.

When My Person arrives, we will know. There will be electricity in the air! A spark! Magic will be felt by us! That feeling will be the start of the glue that bonds us together as family. Are you My Person? Love, Betty
