Meet Bess
Bess is a 2-year-old, energetic, quiet, and sweet cat looking for her forever home!
Bess is shy in the beginning but quickly warms up to her human. She is alert but adventurous as she gets to know her new environment and humans. She approached her foster mom immediately and asked to get petted. Bess will lift her butt to let you know that she would like to be petted or scratched. Bess is very sweet. She let her foster mom bathe her and trim her nails, showing minimal resistance. Bess doesn’t like to be held but doesn’t mind being picked up. She is not too much of a lap cat (could be in the future when she learns what that's like).
Bess likes interactive toys (such as Cat Tracks and Concealed Motion Cat Toy). She likes to chase balls and play with feathers. She is also interested in the Teaser cat toy but is still learning what to do with it. Bess has shown interest in window watching but is still navigating how to get (jump) high enough to look outside.
Bess likes to sleep during the day but will wake up for food several times. In the afternoon, she wakes up to play with her toys and seeks attention from her human. Besides interacting with her human, she can play by herself. During the night, she might play all night with her fur friend.
Bess currently lives in an apartment with her foster mom and one resident cat.
Bess will thrive in a home where she can explore yet have a safe base to hide (although she often gets out immediately). She doesn’t mind other cats and is interested in interacting with them. However, a slow introduction is always suggested. We do not have good information about her willingness to live with dogs/young children. A home with older kids might be suggested.
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
