Bodacious Bernie endears himself to every cat lover and wins over those who may try to forgo cat companionship. His purrsonality is a purrfect combination of entertaining and energetic to amiable and affectionate. A stunning specimen from his tiny grey nose, gorgeous green eyes, to the tip of his tail, our silvery sweetheart is a handsome kitty!

Bernie bounds into the room, running laps around the coffee tables like a frenzied feline running a barrel race. His foster family reports that “Rocket Cat” mostly makes his appearances in the afternoon and evening.

But Bernie isn’t all energy. He will happily kick back and chillax on a warm lap and make biscuits on blankets and even in the air. Bernie is still somewhat skittish and will run for safety when confronted with an unfamiliar noise. And this bush dweller spends his “me time” mostly hunkered down in his favorite hide and seek spaces, but can be convinced to come out with the promise of scritches and scratches. Bernie is a boy with a taste for the tactile. He never tires of pets, pats, and head rubs. If you stop (or don’t start fast enough), he will reach out with one of his little mitts as if to say, “I’m making up for lost time! We have years of pettings to make up for!”

Bernie could also be called Mr. Manners and when it comes to food, he is not fussy. He is a grateful guy who gladly gobbles down his yummy offerings. He also has a very special feature - Bernie is self-brushing! His favorite toy is a cat-shaped grooming tool his foster mom has for him. And, nope, he didn't spill a little milk on his bib! He has a small splash of white on the ruff of his neck. It's the perfect spot to start the scritches.

When Bernie’s belly is full, Rocket Cat's laps have been run, he's ready to call it a night, and say the day's done - contingent that his person's bedtime ritual has begun. He snuggles up for sleeps and stays put for the night - even with the squirmy and tossing and turning his dreams can take flight! What dreams does he dream after a day full of fun? He dreams of a family and love and of sleeping safely in a beam of the sun.

Bernie is approximately 2 years old, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He will also have a microchip placed prior to adoption.
