Ten-month-old Benita's world was turned upside-down when the elderly person to whom she belonged went to a nursing home. No family wanted to give her a home. As one might expect, this little lady has found this ordeal to be difficult, but, thanks to the kindness and patience of her foster mom, Benita's affectionate personality has emerged, and she responds to petting with a warm purr. She has a history of doing well with other cats, but we have not observed her with children or dogs.

Benita has been spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, treated for worms and fleas, and vaccinated. Her adopter will receive her medical records.

There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. She's being fostered in Newburyport.

Cats can live over 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. In lieu of in-person adoptions, for the safety of all concerned, due to COVID 19, fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video app, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has streamlined the adoption process and has been going very well.
