Bear is a beautiful, beautiful two-year old girl. And like so many beautiful people, she’s complicated. When we talked recently about her permanent home, she thought she’d thrive with someone with patience as she recognizes she can be cranky on occasion and prefers cats to people. She says dogs are a non-starter and, though she hasn't had much experience with children, she doesn't like the sound of them. She’s a hider and promises she would never invade her person’s space or be co-dependent. She’s independent, mostly happy on her own, and prefers to think of the world under the bed or couch as her own tiny house. (She's very eco-conscious and supports the #tinyhouse movement.) Importantly, Bear knows that there’s someone out there with a big, big heart that will, in the words of the inimitable Bridget Jones, “love her just the way she is.” (Also, she commented that if you haven’t watched Bridget Jones Diary, you should go do so, immediately after you fill in your application for her.)
