Meet Barnaby

Una and Barnaby - the perfect pair. Una tells her story - I'm a petite, shy girl turned love bug, looking for a home. I arrived at the shelter a long time ago, young and very scared. I had to have one eye removed, and needed a lot of time to learn to trust humans. Just recently I decided it was time to cast aside my shy ways and to enjoy people. I love to be petted and will let you brush me for as long as you want. I love to play. The whole shelter is abuzz with talk about how I've morphed into an adorable, silly and fun loving girl! One important thing I must tell you - I have a friend named Barnaby and we really love each other. In fact, we're the perfect pair. We love to snuggle and he grooms me and takes care of me. He's a shy and handsome gentleman. We know we're asking for a lot, but we're hoping we can find a nice quiet home together. We're good with other cats, and if introduced slowly, would do well with another gentle cat or cats. We'd be very happy to be your only cats too! We're wishing for a special home, with someone who understands that we'll be scared at first and we'll need time and patience to adjust. Once we've settled in, I promise you'll see just how special we are!

Special Adoption: Due to the special nature of adopting a shy cat, potential adopters are requested to visit the cat a minimum of 3 times so that you can get acquainted with each other. The first days in a home can be highly stressful for a shy cat, and a visit from a familiar person may be just what they need to convince them that all is well. We'll match you with a volunteer who has worked extensively with the cat and will be available by phone or to make a house call if needed.
