BARN CATS - FREE TO A GOOD BARN's Story
THIS ONLY APPLIES TO OUR BARN CAT PROGRAM...CATS THAT ARE BASICALLY FERAL, AND LIKELY WILL NEVER BE GOOD INDOOR PETS!

Our rescue has taken in quite a few cats over the last two years that will just never acclimate to an indoor home life. Though we have tried extensively to socialize them, they have lived too long outdoors, and are largely feral.

These are beautiful, healthy, fully vetted cats - but sadly, just came to us too late for full socialization. Many are approachable, and maybe over time, in a less restrictive environment, would become more social.

We would love to place them in a secure, safe environment as barn cats, with someone that will follow the proper acclimation protocol and guarantee daily feedings (no, they cannot live off of mice) and vet care as needed.

No adoption fee, but a donation of a couple of bags of good kibble or a case of wet food would be appreciated. A donation that covers our vet bills would be extremely helpful!

All of the cats are spayed/neutered/fully vaccinated, and some are even microchipped! These are large expenses that you will avoid, but you need to guarantee the safety and upkeep of the wonderful animals that have had difficult lives. If you need an outdoor, indoor/outdoor, or barn cat, this is the cat for you! These are available for immediate adoption at no charge, though a simple donation of supplies for our Rescue to help care for our animals, would be greatly appreciated.

All of our cats and kittens are locally rescued, or are surrendered to us by their previous owners.

All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention.

We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders.

Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations. The care that we provide, the animals that we rescue, all costs are covered out of pocket.

To request an application, email secondhandsiamese2@gmail.com.

For other questions, call/text John at 914-441-3239.
