Meet Banjo (FIV+)
Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat
Banjo is an amazing lanky little teenager with soulful green eyes. He would be the perfect addition to almost any household: he is patient, loving, playful (but not crazy!), and curious. He is the kind of cat that follows you around, watching what you're doing and trying his best to "help" without getting in the way. The moment he sees that a spot on your lap has opened up, he will happily curl up on you and fall asleep.
Banjo is very friendly with other cats and kittens, and will be the first to greet a new kitty friend and show them the ropes. This sweet little guy loves his wet food and Churu snacks, but he is very polite and lets his kitten friends eat first before taking his turn. He enjoys playing with wand toys, wrestling, and is an amazing jumper - he loves climbing on the cat wall, jumping from shelf to shelf until he can stare out the window at the birds in the yard.
The moment he looks up at you lovingly with his big, green eyes, you will melt! He typically greets you at the door when you come home, craves pets, and adores human attention. If you are looking for a thoughtful, cuddly, and friendly cat to add some more love to your household, Banjo is your guy.
Although Banjo is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), the condition doesn't hinder his quality of life or his ability to be a loving, playful companion. FIV is not a severe condition for cats, and with proper care, FIV+ cats like Banjo can live happy and healthy lives. FIV is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds, so risk of transmission in a calm, multi-cat household with proper introductions is minimal.
Banjo is 8 months old, neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health! He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home.
Banjo is a social guy and gets along great with other cats. He would do very well if adopted with one of his buddies, or to a household with a friendly resident cat. He has never met a dog but we feel with proper introductions to a well-behaved dog, he would do great with a new pup sibling!

Banjo is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.
ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:
When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! To learn more about our TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) efforts, please follows us on Instagram @roses_rescues_htx.
(All adoption fees also include transportation costs, spay/neuter of the animal, vaccinations, and microchipping.)
