Meet Bacon! This brave mama came to TCR after she and her babies were spotted outside near a busy road. Unfortunately, two of Bacon's four kittens did not survive, but the kind person who found this family did everything they could to ensure that mama and her remaining two kiddos could get inside to safety.

Bacon is a sweet girl who is a little suspicious at first. She is still a bit protective of her family and might even give you a hiss if she is unfamiliar with you! But once you show her that you mean her no harm (and especially if you come armed with snacks and yummy treats), you will win this little mama over in no time. Bacon isn't hard to handle and even enjoys being petted once she is comfortable with you (which doesn't take too long!). She'd do best with a family willing to start her off in one small room and give her a little time to adjust at first. We think that Bacon could thrive as a solo cat, being adopted along with one of her kittens (Lettuce & Tomato), or into a home where there is another chill resident cat. Small kiddos might be a bit overwhelming to her, but she'd likely do OK with older, cat-savvy kids.
