Azora Torbie & Domestic Short Hair Mix Chattanooga, TN

Azora is a 4 year old Torbie girl that was adopted from another shelter back in 2021, but her new family found that they needed to move elsewhere and couldn’t keep her. A newfound allergy to cats and a new landlord who wouldn’t allow animals prevented Azora’s family from bringing her along, despite their best efforts. She previously lived with other cats, a dog, and a toddler, all of whom she behaved fantastically with.

As far as adorable, sweet chunky kittys, Azora is exemplary! This torbie loves all sorts of attention, and will even roll over for belly rubs if she knows you well enough. She’s quite laidback, picking a spot to nap during the day and eagerly awaiting pets and love from any passersby. She is super sweet and docile, and when in a playful mood enjoys going after yarn or a catnip toy. Though independent, she readily seeks love and attention when offered and would make a great companion in just about any home.

Azora has what we call a “mooneye.” Her right eye is whitened and cloudy from scar tissue she received when she was much younger, while her left eye is totally intact. Vets have determined that there are no complications as a result of this, and it doesn’t significantly impact her vision. Additionally, she is on the side of overweight and would greatly benefit from a diet plan and weight loss. She loves her dry food (perhaps a bit too much!) but is mellow and adaptable when it comes to controlled feeding. She is on a special diet to help her balance her weight and gut health, which she can easily continue in a new home.

Azora is a total sweetheart and just needs a little extra TLC to keep her back end clean and on the stay on her journey to a healthier life. We will help you every step of the way if you are wanting to give this special girl the tools she needs to succeed:)

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $85 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for FELV/FIV, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
