Jack now Auryn was failed by many humans they failed to care for him and then dumped him on the streets. He was in at least 2 different households according to his original owner who had no remorse for her actions. His original home developed allergies and his second home did not have financial means to care for him. When the finder/feeder reached out to the community looking for his family everyone was quick to condemn his owner who admitted to the abandonment but no one stepped up to help. Except of course 4paws 1 heart who heard his story and stepped up and cared for him and so did his finder who took him to the vet and so did I his foster mom who has given him his own room to heal and play in along with lots of love.
Auryn has scratches and scars on his ears, face, head, and neck he could have lost all trust in humans but he hasn't. His eyes are crossed and I do believe this effects his vision but he is quick to great you when you walk in the door, he purrs right away and looks for your hand to pet him. He is not skittish but if he gets spooked he does look to retreat somewhere safe and then when you speak to him he comes out immediately.
He likes treats and cat nip very much and he is a pretty relaxed cat from what I have observed. He does get over stimulated easily and although he swats and tries to grab you with his paws he is quick to let go and continues to purr. He likes head scratches and looking outside. His feeder had a dog that he did not seem scared of but due to his scars and scratches I am sure he was in many cat fights and I do not know if he is aggressive towards other animals or just defensive to protect himself.
Due to his hard life and neglect I do not think he would be good around younger children but older ones who know how to properly treat animals with respect and give them space are just fine. All of my teenagers have interacted with him and he is just as happy to enjoy attention from them. He does still meow to go outside but is content having a good view from inside. He is now fixed and vaccinated he has also been treated for fleas (thankyou 4paws 1heart) and he should be indoor ONLY.
I am happy to answer any questions about this handsome boy he is definitely a big boy ( he looks buff like he works out LOL) his crossed eyes are absolutely adorable and he has the most perfect round face. If you are interested in being his forever home and doing what others failed to do and love him with all your heart than I know you are perfect for him. Please contact me if you are interested small rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a good home.
