Hello friends! We are helping Aurora, Buzz, and Cosmo find their purrfect furever family. Aurora is good-natured and kind and has been an attentive mama to her 6-month-old babies, Buzz and Cosmo. Their bond is extraordinary; we hope to find a special family where they may remain together.

Aurora is a petite lady, approximately six and a half years old. Aurora is the most affectionate cat and wants to give love, cuddles, and purrs...for those extra loud purrs - neck and head scratches! Aurora is not a fan of being held but is quite content, nestled beside you. She is incredibly playful; you might think she was a kitten with all that energy! This sweet girl plays with all the toys, especially red laser dots and anything that rolls. She is also a polydactyl! So not only does she have all the love in the world to give you, but she also comes with extra toes. And who doesn't love extra toe beans!?

So let's talk toe beans...meet Buzz! Just like her mama, Buzz is a polydactyl! She loves playtime and naptime and is often found cuddling with her mama. She is somewhat reserved and can be a scaredy cat, but who isn't at times? She may have extra toes, but they don't make her extra daring...extra cute, definitely! Buzz is a friendly little kitty, on her terms, of course.

Cosmo is one out-of-this-world kitty! This little orange girl is super friendly! Cosmo thinks she is part bunny the way she hops when running around. And she has the softest fur, the perfect cuddler; she's furever purring. She is a curious explorer with an adventurous spirit. Cosmo is a total sweetheart who plays hard and sleeps harder. Cosmo is extremely social and loves to play with her sister and mama. We are unsure of how they will be with children or dogs. But we are 100% sure you will fall in love with Aurora, Buzz, and Cosmo!

All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies, and distemper vaccinations, proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing, flea treatment, deworming, and an exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Our shelter hours are by appointment only and are not open to the public. Many of our cats and kittens are located in foster homes. An adoption application MUST be submitted and approved before meeting our cats/kittens. We do this for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.

Our adoption process includes the following:

1. Adoption Application
To be considered for this cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST complete an adoption application:
- Through our website (preferred) at www.scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/
- Email a copy to scruffypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com
- Drop off a hard copy to either of our partner PetSmart locations (Johnston or North Smithfield)
- Mail a hard copy to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886

2. Veterinary Reference
Please call your vet beforehand to give permission to release records to our adoption team. Out-of-state adoptions typically require an exceptional veterinary reference and are at the discretion of our adoption team.

3. Proof of Home Ownership OR Landlord Approval
The landlord's contact information must be provided if renting so our adoption team can seek approval.

4. Home Visit
Please make sure you are located in our vicinity. We are based out of Warwick, RI. Due to COVID-19, we are currently doing virtual home visits until further notice.
