Aspen (senior)'s Story
Aspen’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor.

Aspen's behavior has improved so much during her 2 years in foster care that her foster mom wants to focus this bio on all the good things! Things like how Aspen now loves to cuddle, will sit on her foster mom's laps for hours and will allow full body pets, and how she has slowly become less reactive towards other cats.

However, Aspen's foster mom also knows that it's important to give adopters a clear sense of who Aspen is. Even with all the progress she has made, she still swats and bites her foster mom a few times a month. Some of it is predictable, some of it is not predictable. She is guaranteed to make strangers bleed, including at the vet, which means she will likely require sedated vetting for life.

Under close supervison she can coexist in the same room with her foster mom's small dog. After 2 years of moderated introductions with the other cats in her foster home, Aspen can now calmly see other cats and even be in the same room with them at times. However, she is by no means cat friendly. She can not be around children under any circumstances.

Aspen is both a loving and grouchy girl who will require a committed adopter able to be patient with her sass and appreciative of all her growth! Her foster mom believes she can continue progressing, as her behavioral improvements have not "plateaued" yet. With a committed and cat savvy person, Aspen may continue to decrease her sass and increase her sweetness!

Approximate DOB: 2014. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV/Felv negative. Foster Home: Fort Atkinson

Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws).

Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.

Apply: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MFR/Cat
