Meet Ash and Thistle

Meet Ash and Thistle. They are a bonded pair of sisters who are now 10 months old. They were born outside to a feral mom that was trapped and had to be a TNR as she lived outside many years having litters prior to having this litter. These two girls were young at that time and were going to be her last litter. They seemed scared more than anything and Feline Friends wanted to give them a chance at being part of a family. They were in foster care being socialized but now need to go to a home to continue with the socializing process.
They are sweet cats and love being pet if they are comfortable and trust their surroundings. They are playful once settled in and they love string toys and lasers. Their favorite way to play is running back and forth chasing the laser and string toys. They are non aggressive and need time to adjust to an inside home, learn about indoor life and noises.
They would need to start off in one room with the new adopter going into the room feeding, offering treats, playing with toys, and approaching them slowly. Their new home needs to be calm and quieter with no small children or dogs and someone home during the day to continue with building trust through kindness and consistency.
They have come such a long way from living outside. We are looking for a home that understands the socializing process and understands that these cats will make wonderful affectionate pets in time.
The new adopters has to be committed to continuing their progress with the understanding that this is a process that will take time, lots of patience and love. Feline Friends understands that it is time consuming and requires a big commitment but if you are up to the challenge- you will really make the world of difference for these lovely ladies.
Feline Friends will be asking for updates and will be checking in on their progress until they are sitting in your lap and purring. If you think this is something you can and want to do, please fill out an application.
