MEET ASH!

Ash is going to be sweet sixteen in 2020 and all he wants for his very special birthday is a forever person to love him in his retirement years! Ash is a super sweet and loving boy who really enjoys being around people. In fact, he will approach you and ask you to give him a hug! If pick him up, he'll happily hang out on your shoulder while you go about your day! He's so affectionate that if you stop petting him before he's done, he'll gently hug your arm to try and get you to stay.

While Ash clearly LOVES people, he also gets along great with other animals. He's lived his whole life around lots of cats and dogs and is very comfortable around all personalities and sizes. We think he'd also be happy to hang out with kids of any age.

Ash should be kept on a special kidney diet and given lots of water because he has kidney disease/early kidney failure. He is also FIV+, which means his immune system isn't very strong. With proper care he can still lead a normal life. And because we know FIV isn't a big deal and can only be spread through mating (he's neutered) and extreme fighting, he can happily share food, toys, and sleeping areas with other cats without transmitting the infection. He isn't feeling his age though and gets around great! He's very quick when chasing the laser or a bouncy ball around the house. He absolutely loves to play and to follow his people from room to room. This chipper, crinkly eared fellow is excited to share so much love with his forever family and can't wait to meet them!
