Hi, my name is Asa! I am a 3-year-old, female, black cat. I was adopted previously, but have been returned due to no fault of my own. The other cat that my owner had kept trying to attack me, and I was afraid of her. I am a sweet and talkative girl. I LOVE to play and I get along with everyone in my foster home. I do not like to be held, but I LOVE chin scratches and pets. I especially enjoy being brushed. I was a scared, shy girl when I first got to my foster mom, but I have really come out of my shell! I still flinch at loud noises sometimes, but I'll come back to you once I realize that I'm safe. As much as I love treats, I may love being petted even more! While I do fine with the other cats in my foster home, I need to be an only cat because I am fearful and untrusting of other cats. I'm always "looking over my shoulder" worried that another cat may try to hurt me. I haven't been introduced to dogs or to small children yet. Will you give me the forever home that I have been longing for? I am spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV (negative/negative), and have my microchip.
