Arwen's Story

Miss Arwen is named after the Elven Queen from Lord of the Rings. And she is definitely an ethereal, multi-dimensional feline who just happened to appear in the back yard of one of our board members. Slipping out of the woods on little soft padded paws, Arwen came each day looking for food during the winter before finally allowing herself to be captured on Christmas Eve so she could have a better life.

Arwen has been overlooked and really deserves a loving home. She is living with a bunch of geriatric old men cats who do not want to play and get offended when she tries to chase them or jump out for a game of wrestle mania. They want none of her antics. So, she really needs a friend who is younger and who does want to play and not just sleep.

When Arwen went to the vet, she was already spayed, but had not been ear-tipped to allow us to know that. We did ear-tip her, but she was so friendly that we knew she needed an inside home and did not really want to be frolicking in nature any longer--especially not with the coyotes in the woods.

Arwen has been vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, microchipped, dewormed, and treated preventatively for fleas/ticks. She is about 2-years-old and is good with other cats.

Arwen loves to be petted. She is a huge purr bug and purrs up a storm, butting you with her head to get more attention. She does not really like to be picked up, but she will sit beside you looking for love as long as you are willing to rub her head. She is a little shy at first, but as soon as she knows you, she comes running to see you and is all over you for pets and food.

If you would like to adopt this little elven girl who walks on her tippy-toes when she braids around your legs, please email us at bandocats@gmail.com for an adoption application and more information.
