Arlene Domestic Short Hair New Orleans, LA

Arlene is a special little lady. She is an adult cat, estimated to be about 2-3 years old by the vet, but she is small statured, and only weighs 5 pounds fully grown! She has a round belly and short legs, and waddles like a miniature pot bellied pig! She is very laid back, loves taking naps in the sunshine, snuggling with you under the blankets at night, and keeping you company while you watch TV. She is affectionate, loves company, but is not needy. She has a sweet and gentle temperament. She also loves to play with her toy mice and engage in interactive play with you!

Arlene was very sick when we rescued her off the streets. We honestly didn't know if she would make it. But after several months of good vet care and TLC, she is doing much better, is stable, and needs a home to call her own.

We have listed Arlene as "special needs" because she requires daily medication (steroids) but she takes them very easily. She is also still under the vets care for follow up care. We are willing to provide her follow up care for a year. But she really doesn't require anything extra. We are happy to speak to you at length about her needs if you are interested in adopting her.

We would prefer Arlene to go to a quiet home, without children or dogs. We are not sure if she has ever been around cats. She would probably get along well with them given the proper introductions. It would also be best if she goes to someone with current or previous cat experience.

Arlene is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, triple tested negative, dewormed, and treated for fleas.
