Arlene American Shorthair Mayfield, NY

Arlene is DSH, born 2/26/17, all black, polydactyl. She can be quite "hissy" with new people, but once she remembers how much she enjoys being petted, she leans right in. She is not thrilled about being picked up, but she might decide to grace you with her presence if you're sitting on the couch watching TV. She will need a home with patience and care to let her come out when she is ready.

Arlene was found with her siblings behind a warehouse in Rotterdam when she was about 8 weeks old. Her siblings were quickly adopted and we don't know why this beauty was overlooked. Arlene has extra toes on all of her paws, and she uses her mittens to advantage when she plays with other felines! She gets along great with other cats, so it would be wonderful if she could go to a home with at least one other cat. Arlene is still a "work in progress" and she would do best in a home where she gets to decide when she wants to interact with her humans..

She is spayed, has had all her age appropriate vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and is litter trained.

Please note, fosters do get final ok for any adoption even if approved through Kitten Angels as they are the ones most familiar with their foster kittens personalities.

Kitten Angels is a volunteer organization. An adoption fee of $125 for cats 2 years of age and younger; $100 for cats over 3 years must be paid at the time of adoption by either cash or check. All of our adoptable animals are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered.
