Ariel's Story

Ariel is incredibly beautiful. Once she feels comfortable with you, will reward you with loud purrs and ask for belly rubs. Ariel may do best being adopted with one of her siblings or having a cat of similar age and personality in the home. She cuddles up with her siblings and is incredibly sweet-natured. She is obsessed with trying to untie your shoelaces (as are her siblings) and will go after any type of string you put in front of her.

Ariel is about 5 months old and tested negative for FIV & FeLV and is micro-chipped.

Our adoption fee ($75 for cats 1 year and over or $100 for kittens) includes a free vet visit with one of our participating vets.

All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and have been treated, if necessary, for fleas and parasites.

We do adoptions by appointment only. We recommend filling out an adoption application first; then you can be pre-approved before your visit. Every animal who crosses our door is an individual…not just a number. We work hard to make the perfect match with each and every adoption. Cats and kittens are available for adoption at three months of age. Prior to adoption all cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, FVRCP, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, have had a fecal analysis and are treated for any internal or external parasites. Cats and kittens with a wide range of treatable disease and injury are provided the appropriate veterinary care. All adoptable cats have implanted microchips for identification. Dogs and puppies are available for adoption at three months old. They are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper (DH(L)PP), kennel cough and canine influenza virus. Dogs have had a fecal analysis and have been treated for internal and external parasites. All dogs are heartworm tested and microchipped. During their stay all dogs are given flea, tick and heartworm preventative on a monthly basis. Any dog with a treatable medical condition or injury is provided the appropriate care prior to being adopted. Please call us at 607.594.2255 or send an email to info@schuylerhumane.org.
