Hi, I'm Archie! I used to live in a house where the kids weren't taught to be nice to me, and I endured some abuse. I am so glad that someone saw how I was being treated and got me into rescue. I love my new life!

I'm a very affectionate cat who loves nothing more than to cuddle up on my human's lap. Give me some head scratches and just wait for the purring to kick in! I also love kneading my humans to show how happy I am and I do this every chance I get. I even love kisses on the head from my people! My sweetness is balanced out by a bit of sassiness. In my former life, I lived in a crowded home with lots of cats, dogs, and humans. I had to learn to stand up for myself and am quick to be vocal and protest when I'm uncomfortable or feel unsafe, but when I live with a family who understands how important it is for me to feel safe and not threatened I do very well.

I get along great with other cats and am very relaxed around them after a proper introduction. Dogs make me nervous, but I do currently live with two of them. I think I could live with dogs in my adoptive home if they were cat savvy and respectful of my space. I'm very friendly with humans, even new ones, and come running whenever someone comes in the door! I'm especially friendly to people who give me a head scratch or have treats for me. Did I mention how much I LOVE food?? I know what it's like to be hungry, and I'm still getting used to the idea that I won't ever be hungry again. When it's supper time, I get pretty excited, and when I finish eating I always meow for more just to see if my humans will give in. They make sure to give me enough food, but not too much or I would become a chubby kitty pretty quickly!
