MEET APRICOT!

Are you looking for an amazingly cuddly, spunky, and beautiful long-haired best friend? Perhaps Apricot is your girl! Teeny, tiny Apricot was brought to Philadelphia's animal control shelter after being found as a stray not long before because the other cat in her previous home was picking on her and her family didn't think it was fair for Apricot. It was then found that Apricot was diabetic which was what was causing her to be so skinny. Luckily, she made it back out of the shelter by landed an amazing foster home where she is flourishing and living alongside other cats and dogs happily! She's now on the hunt to find her forever home.

Apricot has a stunning long Tabby/Calico (Tabico?) coat and bright green eyes. Despite being an older cat (the shelter estimated her to be around 7 or 8), she is often mistaken for being a kitten because she is so petite and has an adorable baby face! Not to mention her adorable, playful and spunky personality! She loves being the center of attention and will chat with you all day long if you entertain her! She adores being brushed, held, and especially getting chin and back scratches! Apricot is currently living with other cats and large dogs and gets along with them wonderfully! She has also met children in her foster home and at our adoption events and adores them as well.

Apricot receives insulin shots and scheduled meals twice a day to regulate her blood sugar. Her condition is under control and her medication is affordable! She has put on a healthy amount of weight since getting the appropriate vet care. Not to mention, she is likely feeling so much better since receiving a diagnoses and treatment. Besides, this easy-going, goofy girl will certainly repay you with lots of love and laughs!

Apricot is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and will be microchipped prior to going to her forever home. She is also FIV & FeLV negative.
