Ansel's Story

Ansel is such a treasure. He spent over 60 days in a high kill shelter showing off his wares. We can't figure out why he wasn't adopted as he is the most sweet, loving, and friendly cat. Perhaps because the shelter had so many cats, we just don't know. Ansel loves to be a lap cat and will scooch his way around until you are holding him like a newborn baby then stare lovingly into your face. When he doesn't want you to rub him in a certain spot, or too long in one place, he will let you know by doing a gentle clamping of his teeth, not a bite by any means. He has done well with cat friendly dogs and other cats in his foster home. As with any cat, proper introductions will make for long peaceful friendships. We do not know how he is with small children, but we believe he would be fine. Ansel is approximately 2 to 3 years old, 12 lbs., neutered, up to date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative. If you are looking for the almost perfect cat (let’s face it, no one is perfect, but this guy seems to be) Ansel may be your boy. You must be looking for a lap/cuddle buddy though

Our Mission
When my mother, June, passed away she had a senior cat named "Ninety Nine." No one in our family wanted her, so I decided to drive to California to get Ninety Nine. On the long drive home, I decided that I had to do something to help the senior cats who are left homeless when their owner passes away or becomes too ill to ca...
