Angel's owner recently passed away and her daughter promised she would find a safe place for her beloved cat to go. So now Angel is a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty and living in a foster home. She is up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative and spayed. She also came to us front-paw declawed.

Angel is about 12-1/2 years old as of January 2020. Her owner loved her dearly. Her owner was a kind soul and loved all animals. Angel was treated well in her previous home.

Angel was upset when she first came to her foster home. She does not do well with change and will hiss to let you know she is not liking it. I safely can pick her up now when she hisses at me. She didn't try to bite me or anything. But I will not do it very often. Best just to give her space and time when she is upset. She does not travel well also and cried the whole way here. We set her up in a room alone when we got her and she hid. Whenever we went in to check on her she would hiss at us so we let her be. But after some time, Angel was doing much better. Angel has adjusted well in her foster home now. She comes right over to us and loves to be petted. She will even flip to her side begging for more pets. She did not eat well the first couple of days but now is eating better too. Angel is a talker and frequently will tell you what she thinks. Angel is a princess and wants attention as often as possible. Angel does well with my older kind daughters. Would be best in a home with older kind children. She needs a home with no young children. Angel would be best in a home with no other cats and no dogs. She wants to be your one and only!v There was another cat in the home she came from, but they were not really friends. They tolerated each other so it is ok for them to not be adopted together.

Best in a home that will not be moving for the next 10 years because change is very hard on her. Angel needs to be groomed or shaved down by a vet every so often. She has a ton of hair and it tends to get matted.

Angel is a beautiful sweetheart and would love for her to find a forever home.

Angel's adoption fee is $75.00.


WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
