She passed away suddenly and unexpectedly today.

Angel... Beautiful Black & White, Domestic medium haired spayed female; approx. 5 years old as of May 2021. Silky soft fur. She is up to date on shots, her brother tested negative for FeLV/FIV so she would be negative too, and she is spayed.


A litter of 5 feral kittens were trapped on the east side of Waterloo. This litter of 5 ... males are Bearcat, Slugger, and Oreo and females are Fudge and Angel ... are all very sweet and friendly. They purr and cuddle and play and romp and are sweet as can be... and are completely ready for their new families to come along and adopt them!!

2/9/17 UPDATE: Angel is about 9 months old now. She is a wonderful kitten. Does well with children, and other cats.

5/8/17 UPDATE: Angel appears to have a blocked tear duct. We had them flushed today those under anesthesia to see if we are able to open it back up. There is a chance that it could be scarred in and may be a life long issue with tear overflow. We will update this once we see the results from the flush today.

5/21/17 UPDATE: Her eye still weeps not as bad as it did before the flush. dr. Works well to wipe her eye with a clean wet warm washcloth. Vet said they flushed the left one was harder to open then the right, so could be a little bit of scar tissue in there. Vet said so we're just going with the flow. We are going to check into some tear medicine that you put on her food and see if that'll help.

2/20/18 UPDATE: We also think if given time and proper introductions, she would be ok with dogs too.

The kittens in this litter still needing homes are: Fudge, Bearcat, Slugger, and Angel.

Angel's adoption fee is $95.00.

To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
