Andromeda's Story

Meet Andromeda

Some cats have a story that makes you wonder how they ever managed to survive. Andromeda is one of those cats.

This beautiful 2-year-old grey tabby was found living outside with kittens despite being declawed. Not only was she trying to raise babies on the streets, but she was doing it without one of a cat's primary means of defense. Thankfully, her days of struggling to survive are behind her. Now safely indoors, spayed, and cared for, Andromeda is ready to find the loving forever home she has always deserved.

Andromeda is a sweetheart through and through. She isn't overly demanding, but she does like being near her people. Whether you're working, watching TV, or simply moving from room to room, she'll happily keep you company. Think of her as your gentle little shadow.

She absolutely loves head scratches and is comfortable being picked up and held. She's a curious, affectionate girl who enjoys watching birds through the window and keeping tabs on the world outside from the safety of her home.

Andromeda also comes with a few adorable quirks. She's moderately vocal and will let you know if she'd rather not be separated from her favorite humans. When she gets the zoomies, she makes the funniest little grunting sounds and has even been known to chase her own tail, proving that she's equal parts dignified and delightfully goofy.

Because we don't know her history with other animals, Andromeda may be happiest as an only pet where she can soak up all the attention for herself. She would do well with older, respectful children who understand how to be gentle with cats.

After everything she's been through, Andromeda is looking for a home where she'll never have to fend for herself again. In return, she'll provide companionship, affection, and plenty of entertainment from her tail-chasing adventures.

Andromeda's adoption fee ($125) includes:
Spay
Dewormer
FeLV testing
Microchip
Core vaccines
A free 30-day subscription to Petcademy (24/7 cat behavior support!)
A free exam at a ChewyVet clinic + a $50 Chewy gift card

To meet Andromeda, please submit an application at denverkittens.org/adopt. Petfinder inquiries will not be considered.

Denver Kittens's Adoption Policy
1) Fill out an adoption application. Please note: we do not track special requests. If you have a specific breed you're looking for, please sign up for our enews (below) or follow us on social media to keep an eye on our cats/kittens as they come into rescue. Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to homes that already have another young cat. No exceptions. 2) If the cat/kitten you want to adopt is available, and we think you're a good match, we'll reach out to you to set up a meet and greet. This will typically happen within 24 hours. 3) The in-person meet and greet in the foster home is usually scheduled within 1-3 days. Setting up a meet-and-greet does not put a "hold" on a kitty. They are considered adoptable until the adoption fee is paid. 4) If it's a match, the adoption is finalized by signing an adoption contract and paying the adoption fee. All fosters need to be spayed/neutered before going home, so, especially for kittens, you may need to wait a few days or a few weeks, depending on where they're at in that process. Once the pet is ready to go home, please be prepared to pick it up within 24 hours. 5) Pickup will be scheduled. Kitty must be picked up within 24 hours of finalized adoption.
