Meet Amira

Amira is a sweet female tabby/white DSH kitten who joined our rescue with her siblings after being born indoors after their mom was found stray/pregnant

DOB approx March 29/24, Amira has had a full vet assessment (healthy), dewormed and will have both of her FVRCP vaccinations prior to adoption

She will need to return to our vet located in Arthur ON for her rabies vaccination and spay surgery booked for Sept 3/24 (paid for by the rescue of course)

Amira was shy initially but has blossomed in her foster home where she is thriving with her littermates. Amira will chase or jump at anything that might be dangling - don’t be surprised if you become a jungle gym or get a surprise pounce from her when she is in binky mode.

Once she is done playing, she loves to cuddle and is the sweetest girl.

Amira is not a suitable kitten for young children, she is the more shy kitten of her litter and will do best in a home where she is not chased or picked up by young ones who may startle her.

Once she feels safe you will see her bright playful personality and snuggly side. She will sit on your lap for hours. She really loves to cuddle, she enjoys treats a little too much and she’s smart enough to break into them so food and treats will need to be kept safely inside a cupboard or bin

Amira adores her brother Atticus who is also available for adoption.
They would love to be adopted as a pair, but if not, their new families must have another suitable, friendly playful welcoming cat for companionship to meet their needs. We do not adopt single kittens into homes without other suitable feline companions in order to meet their needs for socialization and companionship in order to thrive

Adoption fee $275 includes FVRCP vaccinations x 2, deworming x 2, rabies vaccination, spay surgery, microchip

Adoption application

Hobo Haven is located in St Jacobs Ontario.
For approved families, we require in person meetings in St Jacobs ON
If you are not willing to drive to this location to meet our cats after you are approved, please do not apply.
We do not meet elsewhere nor deliver cats. Adoptions within Ontario only

For anyone possibly interested in adopting from Hobo Haven, here are a few, but not all, criteria to be aware of:

We require all serious applicants to watched "Petfooled" which is a free documentary at this link
, or on Amazon prime or also a variety of other free video sites.

Our motto is "know better/do better" and we ask all adoptive families to be as committed to providing pets with quality nutrition as they are to providing love. This documentary is not advertising, purely just educational.

An adoption application must be completed and approved, including vet references as well as a home visit (Zoom during COVID), prior to meeting available pets
All pets are placed in loving foster homes during their time with us, we do not have a shelter to visit.
We do not allow applicants to visit until pre-approved for adoptions. Our pets are in private foster family homes, not in a shelter.
Any questions may be emailed to

Due to the high volume of applications received , priority of replies will be given to applicants who meet the criteria mentioned in the pet's profile.

Please do not ask us to make exceptions, we set these protocols and policies for the pet's best interests which are always our highest priority.

Emails are best, our volunteers work full time and are often not able to answer or return phone calls in a timely manner.
