Meet Amigo
Amigo is a sleek black gentle with deep amber eyes, about 11-1/2 years old. His owner recently passed away, and he is now eagerly awaiting a new person or family to give his love to. Amigo's a very sweet cat that likes cuddles and lots of attention, but also enjoys his time alone as well. He's very friendly with everyone he meets and likes to sleep for a lot of the day. He warmed up to his foster family fairly quickly after a day or two. Once Amigo comes out of his shell, he's a very fun cat to be around and he likes to run around and jump on counters to hang with you. Amigo has tested positive for FIV (the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but he is a healthy kitty and will likely have a normal lifespan as an indoor-only cat. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. He can be adopted as the only kitty to an adoring home where he will be given a lot of attention. It is unknown how Amigo gets along with other cats and dogs, but he may do best as an only cat so he can be the primary focus of your affection. Amigo is deserving of a kind and loving home where he can bask in the sun and get lots of pets and cuddles.
Note: Amigo is on a prescription diet that helps maintain his urinary tract health.
Amigo has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, has had a complete dental, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. Meet Amigo at the cattery inside our partner Petco, 1169 Valley River Dr., Eugene, OR 97401 and submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 2-3 days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
